Wildcoast 3 Spring Special

Another action-packed edition of WildCoast is about to hit the newsstands of SA. At 100 pages this spring special edition is our biggest issue yet!

Inside you’ll find a variety of reading. Large kings, samsons and groper are targeted in our far western waters. This article will get you pumped. Soft plastics are used at Whyalla to stop some of the region’s large snapper. Whopper EP flathead are targeted on bait and lure.

In the fresh callop are the target on diving lures, and there’s plenty of bream action from both metro and regional waters. This is only a small slice of the many features inside, on top of our full state-wide wrap of the fishing.  It’s not far away now...check it out!

Pilchards Plus

Pilchards Plus – Long Life Bait

The problem with many frozen pilchard (mulie) baits is that quite often the durability is lost once the bait has been thawed. This often leads to bait coming off the hook, less hook ups and at the end of the day the bait is usually unusable and is wasted.
Pilchards Plus, a new South Australian company have come up with an easy solution – Long Life Pilchards. Whilst caravanning for two years with two kids, two cats and a dog we were short on room at times.  For us as well as every other RV/fisherman the problem has become apparent, the storage of bait.

Port Lincoln Fishing Report 13/11/08

Port Lincoln Fishing Report 13/11/08

ELLISTON

Fishing has been good for the boaties in both Anxious Bay and Waterloo Bay who have been getting plenty of plump whiting, trevally and garfish.
Jetty anglers are getting nice trevally, squid and garfish during the day and at night, the new solar lights seem to be attracting good numbers of tommies plus a few squid and trevally.
LOCKS WELL
Very quiet for big salmon but the shallows holds salmon trout and a few tommies.
FARM BEACH
This area continues to provide good fishing for whiting, tommies and garfish. Boats report good catches from around Longnose and along the sand hills. Shore based anglers working the coastline between Frenchman and Farm Beach boat ramp are getting mixed bags of whiting, garfish, trevally and salmon trout.
